As I
watched another episode of my all-time favorite TV series “Dexter” last night,
I suddenly started wondering which watch leading man Dexter Morgan is wearing
around his wrist. From season one in 2006 to present, he has always been
wearing one – that I knew for sure. But has it always been the same? Or has he
changed watches sometime and I haven’t even noticed? Well, I have to admit that
it really took me some time to discover what watch he wears but I finally found
out and want to share my new knowledge with you guys.
In fact,
Dexter wears two different types of watches in the series. It turned out that the
first one was a Vintage Timex watch from the 70s, the second one a Waltham
Watch produced in the 60s. Both models are quite similar which is why they can
only be clearly identified by zooming in on Dexter’s wrist. The watches he
wears aren’t very expensive but rare and difficult to find on the market. I
think they were chosen because of their significant meaning for Dexter who most
probably wears them in memory of his father and his entire childhood.
